No matter what is said about Paris it is not a nice city. Away from the commercial parts of the city where tourists flock to are suburbs where a number of immigrants and the poor of France work. It is completely different from any part of Paris that you are likely to see around the Tour Eiffel or any of the other tourist attractions. It shows the great poverty of the city and of France and most European countries as well. The French pay little attention to these people and it is likely that you’ll ignore them as well.
