I fell in love with Paris on my very first visit fifteen years ago. Then it was just a flying visit , one day to try and absorb all the sites. Very soon I was back for a longer stay, and from that moment on I have made at least one pilgrimage a year to the greatest city on earth. Don't get me wrong, London has its appeal, so does Rome , but even these two giants fail to shine as brightly as Paris does by day or night. My particular favourite area is Montmartre. The feeling here is much the same as it must have been in the heyday of Parisienne art. The Sacre Coeur is simply one of the most impressive sights I have ever seen. I would recommend a visit to Paris to anyone, and if perchance the atmosphere there fails to get to you and win you over, then just pay a visit to another wonderful place just half an hour away- Disneyland.
