Advantages: Central Location, beaches, good night life, tradition, good resturants Disadvantages: 52 days of rain
...Limassol, the 2nd largest city in Cyprus and by far the most cosmipolitan.
This area of Cyprus has just about everything you need to enjoy a few weeks of rest and recuperation.
From local tavernas run by Mom & Pop to 5* resturants and nightclubs. Whatever your heart desires you will find in Limassol.
There are some beautiful cove beaches where you can hire a sunbed & umbrella for about £2.50 cyp a day and be served frappe's at the waters edge while you laze in one of the 300 days of sunshine the island is bathed in.
If you wish to be more physical on your holiday, why not try one of the water parks? There is one located conveinently at Fassouri just outside Limassol with a bus service every day.
Beautiful walks maybe your thing and Cyprus has the mountains and the coastal walks that make you wish you could walk forever...

Advantages: Old part of town, by beach, lots of resturants and bars, shops Disadvantages: None
...I went to stay in Limassol in 1999 for 2 weeks with my dad, and had a fantastic time..
I think Limassol has the best of everything, it is by the coast and has some nice beaches, and there is also night life for anyone that wants it situated in one area of Limassol.
The old town is nice with shops down side streets.
Limassol is a good place to stay in and you can easily get to other parts of Cyprus either by hire car (which I strongly reccomend) and if you really want you could try a bus (but we didn't!)
The capital Nicosia is great for shopping, and you really need a car to get there from Limassol, and you are able to view the other side of cyprus over the wall at the end of the street.
The Troodos Mountains are a great place to escape the heat from and view the landscape. There are the odd gift shop and cafe. I strongly advise...

Advantages: ONE OF THE TOP HOTELS IN THE WORLD, SO HIGHER THAN AVERAGE SERVICE, CLOSE TO SEA . Disadvantages: MAYBE ONLY THAT IT IS A BUS OR TAXI JOURNEY FROM THE MAIN TOWN OF LIMASSOL
...is expensive but with a 5 star rating and top quality service is value for money, prices are , quote , around april time about £600 for a 7 day stay on b&b or £900 on 14 days to high season around £800 for 7 days to £1300 for 14 days although these prices should only be used as a guide , i am sure that better prices can be obtained in special offers . 1st children vary in price from a low of £250 to just over £300 . The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools as well as the largest indoor swimming pool ,as well as a childrens pool. Also with its own fish tavern and a,la carte also gastronomic restuarent give good variety of choice for the hotel client. I would certainly recommend this Hotel and also the sister hotel The Paphos Amathus BeachHotel again a 5 star hotel , a recently built complex but with a first class reputation. The limassol...
