Harlow in general.... Jeremy Kyle-esque?

Advantages: Lots of shops, some good bars & lots of nice takeaways here.
Disadvantages: Some of the people are just atrocious.

sit in McDonalds car park or just generally girls on a night out who look like they're on the game. I don't really know many people here except my family but my other half has some lovely friends who live here so I guess it goes to show that it's not everybody who has that Jeremy Kyle aura about them. I would recommend visiting the town centre if you live in a smaller town or village as there are a lot of shops here but occasionally I like to go off to Chelmsford just for a change of scene (and Lush of course!). There are quite a few nice places to eat in Harlow; Nandos, The Three Horseshoes, Harlow Tandoori. There are also quite a few good takeaways places here (and some bad of course) so it's not all bad! Harlow also has a cinema and a shopping area on Edinburgh Way which has the larger electrical retailers Comet etc and there is ...

Review of Harlow in General

Harlow New Town

Advantages: Friendly communities, Large Regional A&E Hospital, Sports Centre & other sporting facilities, swimming facilities, plenty of open spaces, Town Park, good rail link and public transport, close proximity to London and M25
Disadvantages: Regarded by some as a typical new town

largest medical research centres at the New Frontiers Science Park, a huge complex providing jobs for thousands of people. Harlow is steeped in history dating back to pre-roman times and gets its name from Saxon times and is composed from two words, 'here', meaning an army or host, and 'hlaw' meaning hill. try this link for some more of Harlow's history. http://www.springhills.freeserve.co.uk/historymainpage.htm Recent building development has seen an additional 3000 homes built and occupied in this continually expanding and beautiful town. ...

Review of Jon White - Harlow

Harlow is not a Tourist resort

Advantages: It isn't the Green Man, which is just around the corner
Disadvantages: The menu is a bit ordinary

from the herd of chavs that find the car park an entertaining place to pass their evenings. They probably haven't yet learned how to open doors of turn TVs on. Some of them had learned to walk without dragging their knuckles on the ground.. But that's Harlow for you. One of the girls in the office pointed out that Old Harlow is the posh end of town. I can only wonder what the rough bit looks like! My recommendation is based on the assumption that you need to spend a night in Harlow. ...
