Park Resorts

This used to be a wonderful camping and caravan (touring and static) site but has steadily gone downhill since Park Resorts took over. The standard of entertainment is awful and very limited, the kid's club is almost non-existent, the restaurent serves up heaps of junk food and grease cooked and served with very poor hygiene, the on-site shop is very expensive, they make loads of mistakes with bookings (charging too much, providing confusing and duplicate invoices, getting dates wrong, ignoring special requests [e.g. for the disabled]). Car parking is away from the caravans (which is great for child safety but there is no help with luggage (even for the elderly and infirm). No security on car park - I stopped some yobs stealing from a car and the on-site staff were not bothered - they didn't even call the police, I had to do it! Don't want to sound snobbish but this used to be a lovely friendly site with nice, well-behaved kids who played together and made friends. Parents would sit and watch everyone's kids and you all got to know each other. Since Park Resorts took over, this atmosphere has disappeared. Now it seems full of yobbish kids whose parents just want to see the back of them for as long as possible - their language and behaviour is awful, and is obviously copied from the parents who slob around with cans of lager, fags, swearing and arguing. It is a stereotype of "neighbours from hell on holiday" and would be laughable if you weren't in the caravan next door!
