I stayed in this B&B (Its called a hotel, but i would class it more as a B&B) for 1 night whilst on a business trip, and was not disappointed. I was feeling rather energetic at the end of my first day, and as the sun was still shining I decided to get out my map and walk back to the hotel. It is number 100, Banbury road, and it took me around 20 minutes to walk from the main part of the town, and I foudn it very easily, it was literally just a straight road. They have plenty of free carparking if you drive there.
I rung the bell on the reception desk and a very friendly lady took my details and walked me up to my room, which was lovely. It wasn't massively huge, but big enough for me, and they had very kindly upgraded me from a single to a double room for no extra cost because they were quiet on that night, how nice of them! The bed was extremely comfy, and the room was well equipped with a wardrobe, 2 bedside cabinets, full-length mirror, dressing table and TV. The bathroom was spotless and looked really new with a sink, toilet and shower cubicle with a really nice powerful shower with simple controls!! They also supplied those lovely white fluffy towels that you usually expect from a hotel rather than a B&B.
I was also pleased to notice that although the hotel was on the main road, and my room faced the side road, the windows were extremely noise-proof, and I couldn't hear the cars at all while they were closed. They were huge sash windows, and made the room feel large and airy as they covered a whole wall and half of the other!
There was a great selection for breakfast the next morning after my peaceful sleep. I opted for scrambled eggs on toast, but there was also the full works with bacon, mushrooms etc. as well as yoghurt, croissant, cereal and fruit juice, all served to the table by the friendly breakfast waitress. Check-out was simple, quick and friendly.
All in all I was very impressed and felt it was well worth the £68 - relatively cheap for Oxford! They don't have a website, but appear on most of the Oxford touristy ones, and you can book via phone and email - they responded very quickly to my initial email enquiry.
