After several visits to Edinburgh Jam House I thought I would attempt a review. I have been lucky enough to attend ?Jam House? twice in the last 6mths. Since I live in Edinburgh I find myself trying different places from time to time, so rest assured I can happily compare this venue to many others within the city. This review is based on a visit that I made on the 11th April 2009. We were in a group of 7.
Location
Set in a prime location on Queen Street, the jam house is only a 10 minute walk from the city centre. Taxi?s are always nearby so you would have to wait long if that?s your preferred method of transport. In Edinburgh we are lucky enough to have 24hr bus service which runs from Waverly Bridge, this is a 10 minute walk when sober so add another 10 at the end of the night. If you able to ...

What is unquestionably Romania's most famous building, Palatul Parlamentului (known universally as Casa Poporului) was built during the darkest days of the Nicolae Ceausescu regime. Standing 84m above ground level on 12 floors, the building has long been shrouded in mystery, rumour and hyperbole. Originally designed to house almost all the organs of the communist state, it today plays host to the Romanian parliament and a modern, well equipped conference centre, as well as Romania's Museum of Contemporary Art. The vast majority of the building, however, remains unused. The public tour of the building is thoroughly recommended. You'll see plenty of grand staircases, marble-plated halls and conference rooms, while - depending on the modd of the guide - you may also have the chance to go on to the balcony, which offers the defining view ...

BBC PARLIAMENT a specialist channel by the beeb formally called the Parliamentary channel to quote the channels editor "BBC Parliament is the channel dedicated to detailed coverage of Parliament & Politics".
