Advantages: Beautiful setting, easy walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and beach Disadvantages: Can be a bit quiet out of peak season, dodgy water pressure
We visted the Parque Mar Apartments in early May and weren't too sure what to expect as the only British holiday company which advertised it only had one picture. However this turned out to be a good thing since we were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived ( to the point of spending the first 20 minutes walking around with our mouths open saying 'wow' a lot!)
We had booked a two bedroom garden villa for the five of us (myself, husband and daughter and my parents) and were stunned by the accomodation. There were two good sized bedrooms, huge bathroom and seperate shower room, two furnished balconies and a terrace with beautiful views.
Our seven year old daughter loved the place - the pools and children's play area were pretty and well maintained and the hotel Kids Club seemed well run and the staff enthusiatic. The main ...
Advantages: A beautiful setting with some amazing animals Disadvantages: Is perhaps overshadowed by other attractions
Whilst in Barcelona earlier this year we were looking for somewhere to visit that hadn't been on my tourist's agenda on my previous visits. The Location Of Europark Hotel
The Europark is a three star hotel in L'Eixample district on Arago. It is in a fantastic location very close to the Passeig de Gracia and a short walk to Las Ramblas and the Barri Gotic (about fifteen minutes walk). The metro and trains get you anywhere you want to go in Barcelona and its only a five minute walk to the nearest station. The metro and trains are reasonably priced.
Metro is 1 euro per ride.
Train from airport to bottom of Arago was 6.50 euros each way.
