hello, I am a Spanish Lady but not "Boba", Is not easy write in English but from time to time I will prepare something in relation with my country

“El Retiro” or “El Buen Retiro” is to Madrid, like Hyde Park is to London and Central Park to New York. It is a big park in the heart of the town.
It was built during the kingdom of Felipe IVth, but it was in the time of Carlos the IIIrd when people was allowed to visit but in a very restricted way. With the First Republic the park was property of the town, for enjoyment of all its inhabitants.
You can reach it by metro “Retiro” or by buses, with numbers 1, 2, 202, 9, 15, 20, 28 and it is surrounded bay Alcala, O’Donnell, Alfonso XII streets. The main entrance is in Plaza de la Independencia just in front of the “Puerta de Alcalá” and five minute walking you reach the pool with the monument erected in memorial of Alfonso XII.
You can rent a boat, or visit the “Crystal Palace” that remember a special cage of birds but now is an exhibition room for pictures, architecture, etc.. modern art.
In spring you can reach the Rosaleda, a place plenty of all kind of roses, and very close the statue of the Angel Caído, a statue of a fallen angel, it could be the only statue in the world erected in memorial of the devil.
In the beginning of June the Retiro become glamorous and welcome the Feria del Libro, where you can buy any book or meet a famous writer, or beautiful people, but very crowded and with a very hot weather.
On Sundays the Retiro is like Babylon, people of any race and nationality, different languages, are walking and spending the weekend along the promenades, enjoying themselves with the clowns, the mimos, the dancers…
But it is in autumn when I love the park, when the trees have different colours, the leaves fall, the fog rise and the silence is the king, I feel like the park were the Eden in the Earth.
