San Francisco is one of those cities that has so many bars, it's easy to get lost in the shuffle. Pat O'Shea's is definitely one that stands out in the minds of its loyal patrons.
O'Shea's is a a mixture of several different environments. One of the biggest clientele that O'Shea's draws from is students from the University of San Francisco. They're good kids for the most part, but you definitely have to be ready for a college party environment, generally on Thursday nights and occasionally on the weekend if something big is happening at the Univ.
On weeknights there's tons of sports on the tube, all 20 sets that they have. The owners of the bar are huge SF Giants fans, so there's a lot of baseball on during the season. They also have several bus trips to games that you can get tickets for. In the fall, football takes precedence, with some basketball and ice hockey mixed in.
O'Shea's is a great place with a wide selection of beers and honest drinks. 3 pool tables and a jukebox complement this neighborhood watering hole, not to mention an excellent kitchen that will serve up great American fare for lunch or dinner.
Don't be fooled by the sign outside that says "We Cheat Tourists and Drunks" -- they do, but it's all good.
