I stayed in the Pavillon Louvre Rivoli- Paris for 3 nights on a work trip in November 2005. I was really impressed with the hotel's location- a ten minute walk from Galeries Lafayette, I was in heaven!

The desk staff in the hotel were very courteous and polite and there was a lift which was handy to get my bags to my room. My room was on the small side but as there was only me staying in the room (even though it was a double) I didnt mind, and paris is renowned for its small hotel rooms anyway.

The room was pleasantly decorated in pale yellow and terracotta shades, the bathroom was again very small but very clean and toiletries provided, plenty of hot water as well!

One thing slightly annoying was that on the first evening i reported the bedside lamp as not working, and despite reporting this again the next day it was still not fixed by the time I left. however i did mention it on checking out and the manageress was very apologetic.

Breakfast in this little hotel was a lovely experience- served in a basement cellar, the stone walls and worught iron tables are très chic!cereals, breads, croissants, jams, meats and cheeses were all plentiful and tasty.

In short- if work were paying again i certainly wouldnt hesitate to stay here again as the location can't be beat. but on leisure trips to paris i have stayed elsewehere as the hotel is very expensive for what it is.
