Advantages: fun and cheap Disadvantages: hot and sticky
...You'll never feel bored in Taipei as there're so much going on. OK, the weather could be sticky and hot but you could always find a cafe or tea room with air-conditioning. Or just dive in a big department in Chun-Shou East Road and enjoy your shopping. Food in Taipei is fantastic and cheap. You could find any kind of food you want in Taipei easily. Thai, Indian, Japanese, American, Germany, French and of couse Chinese. The most great time to explore the city is in the evening. Everything happens in the evening. All the shops are open until 11pm. Night market is crowded with loads of people looking for food and cheap stuff. This is the most lively place to be. Or you could go to the KTV for a great fun time, singing with your friends. KTV is the most popular activity among people in Taipei. Go shopping in the evening is also very popular...

...If you happen to be in Taipei, don't miss out the chance to visit one of the best museum in the world - The National Palace Museum. It houses the world's largest collection of priceless Chinese art treasures, one which spans China's nearly 5,000-year history. Most of the museum's 620,000 art objects were part of the Chinese imperial collection, which began over 1,000 years ago in the early Sung dynasty. It's about 30 minutes from the city center (Taipei Railway station). The best way to get there might be a taxi. It will costs you about 300NTD (10USD) to get there from city center. The admission fee is 80NTD. The San Hsi T'ang Tea Room is on 4th floor of the main building. Chinese snacks there are tasty and not too expensive but could be very difficult to find a table....

Advantages: Something for everyone Disadvantages: You need a few days to see it all
...Bath is an amazing city with something for everyone from Roman Ruins to excellent shopping malls, together with museums and an abbey. We stopped here for a couple of hours as part of our Orient Express experience (see opinion) and took a guided tour.
The Roman Baths are a must see. Built around a hotspring which still produces water at 46.5 degrees centigrade, the original Roman building was about 20 feet below the level of the pavement today and has been excavated to reveal a wealth of architecture. The principal feature is the Great Bath which is now open to the elements but which was roofed in Roman times. It is 70 feet long by 30 feet wide and 5 feet deep and is still fed from the spring via Roman plumbing. The original lead lining of the bath remains intact.
