We stayed at the pergola hotel in Mellieha for a week from the 17th august for a week, the views from the hotel are amazing, they have two swimming pools, one is indoor and heated, whereas the other is outdoor and not heated, however the weather in malta when we were out there was over 100 at some times, so no need for the heater.
Near the outdoor pool there is a bar area which is themed to be located inside the opening to a cave, there is also a restaurant which serves excellent food, it is family friendly as they serve chips, burgers, pizzas and also catery for vegetarians offering salads and other meals.
Just below the restaurant after taking the lift there is a games room with the popular snooker table, various shooting games, a racing game, pinball machine and some old retro style fighting machines. Something else to keep the younger kids entertained is a small room which has a plastic castle and slide, along with some seesaw crocadiles.
When we entered the pergola we initially thought that the rooms would be great because reception looks so good. We got there earlier than we had expected so the rooms weren't ready so we were told to go and have a drink or something for an hour, when we came back our room was ready, however it was much larger, our rooms was suppose to be a one bedroom apartment costing 80 pounds a night, however we were in a two bedroom studio, costing 150 per night, so we were upgraded for free. Also wireless is available in your room.
Summing up all of this i would highly recommend this hotel, it is also located in a prime location. Around 15 minutes walk from Mellieha beach which is always warm and full of people, also 10 minutes away from the shops.
