Perle Resort Hotel and Health Spa Marine, Chania

Advantages: accessibility,disabled and older clientel
Disadvantages: food,no good for families and younger people

...The resort is a brilliant idea but is let down by its poor food and the price of "extras" -- reminiscent of the "cruet-extra" mentality once associated with Blackpool landladies. The list of extras includes 3 euros to have breakfast in your room, 4 euros per day for use of the safe and 18 euros to use the jacuzzi. One evening we got a pot of tea for two from the bar. We got one and a half cups each and it cost 5.20 euros. The evening meal was 8.50 euros the first week and 9.50 the second week. A small bottle of water with it was an extra 1.50 [40 cents from the supermarket]. The Greek theme-night with dancers was an extra 10 euros each on top of the meal. They didn't charge us for it the second week as we could hardly escape it. The area immediately outside our room was by the pool and bar area. Music was playing from morning... Read review

Advantages: Wonderful, majestic hotel

...Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa at Walt Disney World in Florida is the flagship of all the Disney hotels located at Walt Disney World (WDW) and is based upon a turn of the century Floridian resort. The hotel is predominantly white and pink with bright red roof tiles that make it visually quite stunning and make it look almost like cotton candy: this is definitely the hotel that will appeal most to little girls who want to be a Disney Princess!! There is the main building of the hotel which contains the lobby as well as shops and restaurants and some of the more expensive hotel rooms and suites. The other hotel accommodation is located in 7 buildings dotted around the property. The lobby of the hotel is absolutely magnificent and is the focal point of the hotel with a six storey atrium that is particularly wonderful... Read review

...I recently stayed at the 98 room, 3 star Hotel Kriti in Chania, Crete for one week. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the waterfront, and 8 minutes from the main shopping district. The room was comfortable, with an en suite bathroom, balcony tv, mini bar, hairdryer, and air conditioning with plenty of storage for clothes. However the walls of the room are thin, and occasionally noise was a problem. The hotel has a large swimming pool, bar, snack bar with light meals, and a large lobby. There are also public use P/Cs, with ADSL 1024 connection, for internet and e-mail services. Staff were friendly and always on hand if we had any problems. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide range of different cereals, juices, jams and spreads, breads and pastries, as well as cold meats, cheese, hot eggs and sausages. Overall... Read review
