I loved KL. We went on our honeymoon in april of this year.

The twin towers are in my opinion a great example of modern architecture and well worth a visit.

Some guidebooks say that you'll have to queue for hours to get a ticket as they only give out a limited number each day, but we didn't find this to be the case. We went in the morning and were given a ticket for a time slot in the afetrnoon. We couldn't beleive it was free. I can't think of many tourist attractions that are.

Don't worry about what to do with the couple of hours you have between picking up a ticket and actually going up the towers - the KLCC shopping centre is a five minute walk away. It's an air conditioned shoppers paradise (very welcome in 33 degree heat!)

Back to the towers: the building you enter in is very clean and corporate looking - its a fully operational business centre, so don't expect to look around the offices. You'll be taken into a small room to watch a short film about the making of/stats about the towers.

You are then taken with a group to the veiwing deck on the 44th (I think it was the 44th) floor where the views across the city are superb. If you like heights and sigts, it's certainly for you! The whole tour will only last around 40 minutes in total and afterwards you end up in a relatively small and quiet giftshop fully stocked with all the usualy trinkets for the folks back home.

We certainly liked it - it didn't fell too 'touristy', if you know what I mean, but you felt like you were experiencing something cool. I'd definitely reccommend it. We don't have any children, but ther were lots of excited kids running along along the viewing deck!

But be warned: if you don't like heights and sights and if you need gimmicks and games to enjoy an attraction, this probably isn't for you. What you see is what you get - the chance to go up a high building and look at the view. But c'mon it's free so what do you have to lose?!
