Comfort and service at its best
Advantages: customer service and the personal touch.
Disadvantages: wish i had stayed longer
We arrived at the independence in late Thursday night after a long trip and were pleased to welcomed so openly and efficiently by the staff at the hotel. We were greeted at the taxi by a bell hop despite it being 11pm and our bags were taken to our room. The lobby was immaculate and charming at the same time. The receptionist who was on the phone at the time immediately asked them to hold and greeted us and checked us in. Our request for a high floor ...

The room which was said to be standard had a Large King size bed that was to die for with egyptian cotton sheets that felt like heaven.... you never want to leave the room. There was space enough for two large suitcases and more. There was a large cupboard with bathrobes for your use and a couch to sit on and read or watch the plasma tv. High Society in the City of Brotherly Love?
Advantages: Very close to city centre, comfortable rooms, good amenities
Disadvantages: Local area is a bit grubby, hotel is very obviously a chain and is bland in places
...With 365 rooms, the Sheraton Society Hill is a medium to large chain hotel at the edge of Philadelphia city centre. It’s located (unsurprisingly) on Society Hill, a fairly traditional part of Philadelphia near to the Delaware River docks. The actual street the hotel is situated on is cobbled and quite nice, plus it is a convenient location to get to the main city centre, which is about 5 blocks/20 minutes walk away.
