Worth visiting Heidelberg just for this!

Advantages: Fantastic view, not many tourists around, free!
Disadvantages: Quite steep at times

Even if you only walk fifty metres, you find yourself surrounded by flowers and greenery and with a wonderful view of the river and castle. Continue and you'll follow a zig-zag path through beautiful flora and see the city pan out in front of you.
