A holiday to remember
Advantages: sun, sea, sand, good food, bargains. I have always felt safe. Disadvantages: Some of the hotels are a little way from Patong beach
Whilst patong beach can be very busy it is also very long so it is quite easy to find somewhere quiet. The shopping in Patong is excellent. There are fabulous shops and stalls lining the streets offering excellent value for money goods. Though be prepared to barter and start very low. Although there is prostitution here it is a safe place to take your children. It is not shoved in your face, and if you walk the street with children you will not be ... ...closed bars as they will not bother you. If however you do not have children with you, what looks like a perfectly normal menu will turn out to have a lot more on offer?
Sea food restaurants are excellent as the majority of restaurants.
An excellent place when you want an english meal is the Islander Bar, which offers things such as sausages and mash with onion gravy. I want to experience Thai food you may say, but after 15 days of rice you start ...

Phuket FantaSea - Great Family Night out!
Advantages: Lots to see and do Disadvantages: Buffet - not much choice
Overall I think this show offers a good night out. We paid about 1500 baht per person, which included a buffet dinner and entry into the show. We actually booked direct through the hotel, but later found out you could cheaper tickets from the many tour operators in Patong. We were picked up at 5.30 from the hotel, it took about 40 minutes to get to the final destination. The buffet meal was served in a giant hall like building which was decorated ... ...was quite limited, and I found it to be cold.
After dinner we still had about an hour to wait until the show started. There are a number of stalls andbars, but they seemed quite expensive compared to regular Thai prices.
One thing I would recommend is a visit to the Thai photo studio. Here you can dress up in Thai costumes and have your photo taken (makes a great gift for family). The experience took about an hour in total, you can book your place ...

Islands That Captured My Heart..
Advantages: Stunning scenery, beaches and sea life for all to see.. Disadvantages: Nothing what so ever..
...surroundings of Phuket and the Phi Phi islands.
I am a very active individual who enjoys a challenge but I love to relax and take it easy at the same time, the Phi Phi islands cater for both sides of my personality as I can take up an extreme activity or relax on the beach and perfect my tan.
I have visited the Phi Phi islands on three occasions up to now and every time it has given me a different perspective on what it has to offer, so I feel ... ...entertained throughout their stay.
PHI PHI ISLANDS
Many believe that Phi Phi is made up of two islands when I fact there are actually six islands in total, which is hard to believe until you actually see them. Out of the six islands only one of them has people permanently living on it this island is called the Phi Phi Don.
The Phi Phi Don island is the largest one out of the six islands, the second largest is called the Ko Phi Phi Leh, this island ...

wouldn't want to spend too long there
Advantages: you can't get lost there Disadvantages: quiet small with limited shopping
Once you have your luggage scanned and checked in - you have to part with 500 Thai Baht for airport taxes - and then it's through to the departure lounge. Basically the lounge is an oblong room with shops on either side. The duty free shop is quiet small by normal standards, and the pearl shops quiet expensive compared to main land Phuket. The are a few gift shops / food jaunts and a bar. The smoking room is very tiny and very smokey. Infact you ...

A little piece of Heaven!
Advantages: warm clear blue sea, white sandy beaches, amazing snorkelling, friendly people Disadvantages: Phi Phi Le is a little run down due to the Tsunami
...to the main island of Phi Phi Don which drops you off in Tonsai Bay (about an hour and a half ride). I'd recommend staying here for the night, along the south part of the island which is the main town, as you don't really get a feel of the place if you're only on a day trip. During the day it's fairly quiet and Loh Dalum Bay is a lovely place to relax where in the morning the tide is so far out and you can see it gradually flowing in. At night Phi ... ...wait until you get to Phi Phi to book these as it's cheaper and the tours are better than booking from Phuket or Krabi. If booking a tour DEFINITELY book the one that includes a trip to Bamboo Island. This is the most beautiful place I have EVER been. You can sit on the white sand or in one of the small wooden huts to each your lunch and then take a dip in the beautiful and warm clear blue sea. If you look around you all you can see is the bright ...
