It is the best place to eat (at a price)on an evening, watching both locals and tourists wander around the old stadium. The baroque building make for an impressive backdrop with many narrow streets running from the piazza, offering cheaper restaurants and further sight seeing such as Churches and Musuems. It's one of my favourite piazza in Rome. This is a square full of people day and night, with restaurants and cafes surrounding it. The centre of the square is the Fountain of the Rivers with the obelisk and the Fountain of the Moor with the God of Sea. They are both created by the famous Italian sculptor in history - Bernini's . This place is getting popularity because of Dan Brown. For those Dan Brown's fans, may I remind you that this is the "water ...

Advantages: typical laid back italian atmosphere Disadvantages: tour parties like it too
Piazza navona is a typical Roman piazza. By day it is a quiet square where you can site and admire fountains, statues and ornate building facades. For the young at heart there are also some lovely toy shops to browse in. By night, it becomes alive with people looking to soak up a bit of Roman culture. Restaurants line the piazza and you can sit watching the world go by over a good bottle of wine (as long as you don't mind people looking back!) There ... ...at your table or paint your characature. It is definitely a bit of an oasis in amongst the typical roman narrow streets. Incidently, on many of the nearby side streets you can get some of the most enormous ice creams to eat whilst you wander the streets on a warm summer evening. If you visit this piazza, you'll want to go back again! ...

Piazzanavona is one of the most beautiful squares in Rome. During th Christmas holidays it gets decked out and decorated with lights and its outlines are surrounded by stalls selling Christmas goods. It is lovely to go there and choose a variety of hand-crafted pieces for the Crib, or Christmas Tree decorations. On the morning of 6th January (the feast of the Epiphany) legend says that an old lady, dressed in rags and flying a broom, called La Befana, brings sweets and candies to children who were good during the past year, and coal to children who behaved mischievously. Children leave their sock out to be filled with goodies on the eve of January 6th. In PiazzaNavona Christmas Market it is possible to buy lumps of 'charcoal' made of sugar to put in the children's sock to hide all the sweets and goodies below. I hope you will visit ...
Advantages: incredible location reasonably priced Disadvantages: difficult to find
I know rome really well and Ive seen quite a few hotels. This is the best one yet.
Its behind piazzanavona which is one of the most beautiful squares in rome. Its in a tiny ancient street which is incredibibily beautiful. I t took me ages to find the hotel, there is no sign outside so you have to know the street number and then you will see the hotel name written by the doorbell.
It has an alice in wonderland feel. Theres a small low wooden door. When you enter you see a breathtaking entrance. The hotel has all the mod cons but the original structure has been preserved. its made from beautiful white stone and has a stunning spiral staircase. My friends were on the second floor. Their room was gorgeous with wooden beams on the ceiling. The bathroom was very modern and they had a balcony with stunning views.
They paid about 60 ...
Advantages: Modern Station with state of the art services Disadvantages: Always crowded and long ques.
My husband and I went to Italy to celebrate this new year. It was a huge station opened somewhere around 2000 . It has a huge bus depot on one side which has bus services to all the main attractions in Rome such as PiazzaNavona, Colloseum, Spanish steps, Victor Emmanualle, Roman Forum, Vatican and other exciting places. Please be aware of theives all over italy as I was about to be snatched by a thief when traveling in a bus and a very kind young lady warned me from my behind. Inside the termini station you get all the required stores food, clothing, accessories in wide range. As with trains, they are bit dingy, but travels in quite good speed and reaches the destination in quoted time. ...
