It is the best place to eat (at a price)on an evening, watching both locals and tourists wander around the old stadium. The baroque building make for an impressive backdrop with many narrow streets running from the piazza, offering cheaper restaurants and further sight seeing such as Churches and Musuems. The Piazza Navona restaurants tout for business and a kerb-side table is hard to find...but worth it, and remember to take your time eating!! In the evening,like the rest of Rome the place comes alive with street entertainers and stalls, selling cheap replica soccer shirts, toys, fake tattoos and cartoon artists. The fountains give an ideal location for non-eaters to view the entertainment, and are floodlit. Its Location between the Vatican and Forum make it accesible from many parts of the city.
