Advantages: It is quite light and because of its small size it doesn't take up too much space. It also doesn't cost too much either Disadvantages: Dust bags are quite small
appealed and in a typical girl fashion went by colour primarily and the wattage. The first one I looked at was the Mondo Z5116 at £69.95 but it was out of stock, I then looked at the 5105 and the only difference was the colour (metallic green) and the fact that it has a micro filter instead of a Hepafilter, and the previous version to the Z5116 which again was out of stock. My choice was made by default and I came out of Comet with the 5105.
The cleaner is packaged very well and it was in perfect condition when I got it home. Putting it together was hardly rocket science. The 5105 has the option of either having a permanent dust bag or disposable paper ones. I can't get my head around having a washable dust bag - why complicate your life and I don't think it is that hygienic! The paper dust bag slots in easily, close the door, attach ...
Advantages: Reasonably cheap, you can get dustbags anywhere. Disadvantages: Nowhere to store the tools, tips over easily.
My husband and I wanted a cheap cleaner for a house we're renting and whereas we usually have a Miele, we felt we couldn't justify that sort of expense for a house which was going to see a lot of dusty DIY going on and then be rented out to strangers.
The Mondo was the most eye catching and best value of the cleaners we saw at Argos. We paid about £55 for it although they've since gone up in price. The one we have is a sort of jazzy light blue colour and is the 1350 watt version. There is also a 1500 watt version which may be better, but that is over £100.
Although the Mondo has all the usual features like 4 litre dustbag, a 360 degree swivel hose, lots of tools and auto cord rewind, we were a bit taken aback by some of the features when we got it out of the box. For one thing, the on/off switch is cheap plastic and apt to stick ...
Advantages: Light & powerful Disadvantages: Means I can't moan about doing the housework as much!
Which?sucked me in...& I have no regrets!
Choosing a new vacuum cleaner is not the most stimulating of tasks, which is why I took a short cut & picked up a copy of Which?
I was plesaed to find the Mondo 190E at £20 cheaper than quoted (from Tempo for £99.99).
It is light, stylish & almost makes the housework fun!
The tools are easily accessible & the suction is powerful enough to ensure that I will probably have to replace my carpets before buying another vacuum!
I was pleasantly surprised to find it as cheap in the shops as on the internet. ...
