Popular and deservedly so, this restaurant has much to recommend it. The service is fast, efficient, polite and unobtrusive. The food is excellent, both in terms of range of menu (the specials are a particular joy, but the carte is well-balanced and extremely tempting) and quality of cooking. The prix fixe menu is well worth trying, as it offers an economical way to enjoy this fine establishment at lunchtime. However, for the real gems the main menu is quite superb. Up against not inconsiderable competition, they nevertheless manage to produce affordable yet exquisite fare. Of course, food of this quality is never cheap but it can be good value, and Pierre Victoire is certainly that - worth every penny. If anything, the only down point to the restaurant is that sometimes it seems like there are too many tempting options to choose between, but then that's only to be expected. Can be busy at times, so do book to be sure of a table.
