...I went to Pinewood Village just over a year ago with my family as the main part of our trip to Kenya. We were there all-inclusive, which I would advise anyone else going to have as it meant all drinks, ice-creams, meals etc. were included and so you could have as many as you liked.
The accommmodation itself is mainly in villas, split into three sections but there were also apartments. In each villa, a chef cooks almost all of your evening meals and you decide what you want earlier in the day. The rooms themselves are comfortable and spacious with air-conditioning and mosquito nets. They were regularly cleaned. The only problems we had with the rooms was the fact that at any opportunity the local colobus monkeys would try to invade. ...Well here I am , back from the hot weather of Tenerife, seems like the UK has a good spell of it too.
When I book a holiday, one of the first things afterwards is always how do we get to the airport. We usually use a Taxi service who charge £60 return for about a 50 minute drive. This time though, the owner of the company was trying to dictate to me what time he wanted to pick us up, when in fact, I wanted to tell him, afterall I am the customer, right?
I lost my patience and told him to forget it, then hurriedly went on the internet to find an alternative.
