Ping Pong has been top of my boyfriend and mine's hit list for a while now, and on Friday, after a particularly stressful week, he decided to surprise me with dinner!
Slap bang in the centre of the West End on Great Marlborough Street, Ping Pong has just celebrated its first birthday, and has also opened a second branch in Paddington. An entirely new restaurant concept, the main theme is dim sum.
The only downside is that you are unable to book ... ...deceptive from the outside!
Ping Pong is decorated beautifully with a mix of black and dark woods, a mezzanine balcony from the ground floor looking down to the lower ground area, and a glass wall at the back which looks like it's raining, a good mix of modern with an oriental twist. The bathrooms are very clean and decorated in keeping with the rest of the restaurant.
