The Monaco Hotel Faro

Advantages: close to airport and inexpensive
Disadvantages: some aircraft noise

The Monaco is situated in the Montenegro district of Faro only a stones throw from the airport. It is an ideal location if you have an early morning flight and would like a nights sleep before traveling. The hotel runs a regular shuttle to the airport for no extra charge and it is possible when checking in to arrange your own personal time if the timetable does not suit. The hotel is very comfortable and not very expensive. All rooms are pleasantly furnished and ensuite with tv and telephone plus mini bar and many have balconies. The outdoor pool is situated in pleasant gardens and enjoys sun most of the day. There is also an indoor pool and health spa open to residents. The dining room was being refurbished on my last visit in May 2007 so it was not possible to dine but on previous visits I have enjoyed some excellent meals ...

My favourite riding boots, Harry Hall Faro.

Advantages: Comfortable.
Disadvantages: Sole coming away.

I ride most days at least once and I have a variety of riding boots, both short and long. I have had some Harry Hall Faro riding boots for about 18 months now and I have round them really comfortable to ride in. I use them most of the time. Harry Hall Ladies Faro Boots. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * The boots are available in brown or black, mine are black. They are constructed from waterproof leather, almost with the appearance of moleskin. The sole is vibram whatever that is, it is a thick rubber type sole offering good grip. The boots have a long zip at the back which is easy to undo and do up. It also has an adjustable fastening above the zip. The calf has an elasticated insert making it suitable for a variety of calf fittings, especially medium to wide. Harry Hall Faro Boots cost around £84 ...

Sun, Sea And Sand.

Advantages: Cheap, endless entertainment, friendly people.
Disadvantages: Be careful not to get burnt.

passenger with you who can act as another pair of eyes. Accommodation is very reasonably priced in Portugal like everything else. It might be cheaper for you to get a return flight and find accommodation whilst you are out there since there really is an abundance of it. However, if you like the security of knowing where you are going and staying then a package holiday might be better for you. The hotel I stayed in was spotlessly clean. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of everything in Portugal. We even went bare footed out in the streets and didn't have a problem. The people are wonderful. Really friendly and go out of their way to help you and make you feel welcome. There are lots of people who speak English, but it might also help you to carry a phrase book with you. You might like to travel further than Faro if ...
