Hi, I'm Chris
I like: life, chocolate cake, real ale, espresso, travel, outdoor activities, jesus, short reviews.
I don't like: miserable music, concrete, cod in batter, aggressive behaviour, pop-up ads, long reviews.
Happy ciaoing!

After reading other reviews I was expecting a city which was run of the mill save for its famous tower. I was wrong!
This is a beautiful city in its own right. It is a place of beutiful piazzas, a fine fine old medieval heart, frescoed palaces and great food!
The Piazza Miracoli (where the tower is) is amazing, and the tower is only a part. Pick up any archtecture book and you will find that the beauty of this square is also due to the beautiful cathedral (eleventh century), the baptistry and the cemetary. It is all set in a beautiful area of verdant grass which really makes for a breathtaking spectacle.
Stroll from here through the old medieval quarter and into the arcades of the main street here. This is a taste of real Italy. Away from the crowds and taking in the style, architecture and sampling the wonderful food completes the perfect Italian experience.
You can reach Pisa by air from stanstead with Ryanair www.ryanair.com. You can also get there from other areas of Italy by Italy's excellent (and cheap) rail network. (Florence is an hour away- six euro!) There are many good value hotels here but we found a great campsite (25 euro for a family) with swimming pool, restaurant, children's play area and bungalows for hire.
I prefer to keep it short and sweet so please don't say "You could write more". If you have any questions about pisa please mail me. I only write for fun - I don't need blue dots!

Advantages: You can take the famous photo where you appear to be holding up the tower Disadvantages: Random Italians come up to you trying to push dodgy Sony stuff
