Ok enough of that. The last time we went to Pizza Hut must have been just after Christmas. It was quite busy and we had to wait 20 mins to be seated. No problem! They have a lovely seating area where you can sit, i would say up to two familys, eight people. If the kids or yourself want to have a drink thats fine and you can drink in that area. I have to say a rather enjoyed sitting there, it was a good chance to figure out what we wanted to eat so that once we got to our table we didnt have to waste more time deciding, we just ordered practically stright away. Making the time between sitting at the table and the food being brought to us much shorter.
Drinks All the usual drinks in Fast Food resturants are on offer, tango, fanta, coke, diet coke, 7up...ect.
Have you ever noticed how young people in Pizza Hut are? I'm talking the waiters and such. Anyway we had a young boy, must have been 18. Great service and always checking back to make sure we were ok and enjoying our meal.
For starters you definatly get a lot to choose from, the only problem is once you've eaten a starter the pizzas are so big you may not have room. We tried the garlic bread which was brilliant and not too expensive, although as a rule i find that the starter menu's usually are expensive. With the pizza we ordered we had some free Potato Wedges and they were lovely, not sure if i would have paid for them if they weren't free as they ran at around £1.99 but still very nice. We didn't try and of the chicken but the table next to use did and they looked like they were enjoying it so i'll take that as good!
Salads and Pasta There is a huge range of differnt salads you can have, or make your own at the salad bar. We didn't unfortunatly so i can't really rate this.
Pizzas Bases: Pan Pizza, Italian, Stuffed Crust and The Edge.
First you choose your base. We went for the stuffed crust in the end, keep reading you'll find out why. I wasnt too keen on going for The Edge because it was a very thin base and i do prefur a thicker base myself, but if you don't then i think that would be the base for you. Both the Italian and Pan pizza bases looked nice also.
Topping Meat- pepperoni, ham, chicken, beef, pork Veg - peppers, onions, olives, tomato, pineapple, mushroom, sweetcorn. Fish - Tuna or Anchovies or extra cheese.
We went for one large cheese only pizza as we had a vegitarian in our party and then one smaller cheese pizza with ham and pineapple. To be honest the thought of tuna or anchovies made me feel sick, but hey it must be good if it sells!
If your not sure what you want on your pizza you can go with one of their choise.
2 Topping you have: Margarita, Farmhouse, Garden Vegatable and Hot Chick.
5 Toppings: Supreme, meat feast, Super Supreme, Spicy hot one, Chicken supreme, vegetable supreme and Deli.
This actually really cuts down on the arguing if you just go with one of theirs.
We ordered a large cheeze pizza and my oldest couldnt decide if she wanted it to be stuffed crust or not, the rest of us didn't really mind and left the decision up to her. Of course with this young man standing there and nobody else really making caring she opted for no stuffed crust. When he came back with yet more drinks (free refills!) she had changed her mind and asked if she could please have suffed crust. I said to her that it would have been already cooking by now, but "no problem" the young Harry by this time we had found out said, he went back to the kitchen and not 10 mins later when our food arrived low and behold the crust was most definatly stuffed!
About 5 refills later almost all the pizza had gone, and they didnt even mind wrapping up the rest for us to take home! Some people look at you weird when you request this, why i have no idea since you've paid for it.
Dessert: Ice Cream Factory Raspberry Ice Ice Cream New York Cheesecake Toffee Pudding Fudge Cake Chocolate Sundee Chocolate Fondu
It took quite a while for us to deside on the dessert we wanted, note: do not have the chocolate fondue thing with melted chocolate and marshmellow, after abut two bites nobody wanted it. Ice Cream factory is a much better choise for kids and adults alike! Donuts could have been better.
All in all the dessert was the low point of the meal as they were overly expensive and weren't much.
As a review i would say try it, it isnt that expensive as you might think and it was certainly some of the best pizza i've ever had. Skip dessert and get an ice cream from somewhere else or something, its less expensive and you'll enjoy it more. Free refills are a gold mine when it comes to kids. I just hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Note: I read the food off a Pizza Hut menu from the resturant, for more updated ideas of what they offer please read the website as I'm sure the food changes a lot.
