This is a great experience and one not to be missed. I took my wife to a show in London and rather than do our normal "which Italian shall we go to?" routine, we decided to try something different. Planet Hollywood in London is just off Leicester Square and easily accessible via the Leicester Square tube station serviced by both Piccadilly and Northern Lines. It is near many of the theatres as well so a good choice before the show starts!

We looked in some of the other eateries and they did seem a little quiet with limited atmosphere but when we walked through the doors of Planet Hollywood it was a different story. Straight away you are aware of the 100's of film props and memorabilia on the walls and ceiling. The restaurant is on the first floor and as you go up the steps flashbulbs go off which are surrounded by pictures of Paparazzi - fame at last!

The restaurant itself is entered via a queuing system - we went straight in as it was around 5:30pm but it is worth noting there was a considerable queue when we left at around 7pm.

There are TV screens all over the place so it makes no difference where you sit - you'll get a good view. There is a "Bond" themed area, a Video Jockey and a ceiling video camera which whizzes around beaming patrons images on the screen for all to see! Great when you're stuffing a quarter pound burger! There is good range of grub; calamari, chicken strips, shrimp, nachosand buffalo wings are included as starters and for mains you have a choice including swordfish, BBQ ribs, salmon, rib-eye and sirlon steaks, caesar salad, asian chicken salad, tuna, turkey club sandwich, veggie burger, fajitas and surf n turf. Deserst (which we didn't get to!) included tiramisu, apple pie, brownie and finally cheesecake.

The waitress was very friendly, allowed us to take our time with the menu and was attentive throughout our stay. The food can be on the pricey side, especially given what it is, but I guess you are paying for the whole experience.

All in all a worth while change, especially if this is the first time you've ever set foot in one of this chain's restaurants.
