Playa Honda in my experience has been good to me. Although it's no 5 star accomodation it is very good value for money. There are many 18-30's apartments here, whilst we found out it is used by many young english to stay here while they worked so generally a good 'community' feel, especially with the staff being nice and friendly with good english spoken. The rooms were quite small and electricity is sometimes turned off when it gets too loud at night but advantages include it's location being near to shops, cafes, the beach and nightlife and if you do stay within the hotel the pool and sunbathing area is large enough to be enjoyed by all peacefully. However, if a stay is wanted by holiday-goers where the hotel is more popular then maybe the Playa Honda may not be the place, but with it only being used to 'sleep' there, we have returned.
