I have visited SantaPonsa over 10 times, since I was little and still enjoy going there.
--Location--
SantaPonsa is located on the south-western coast of Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands. It is located in Calvia, the municipality also home to the slightly more well known Magaluf and Palma Nova. It is roughly 11 miles (18km) from the capital of the island, Palma.
--Getting There--
The Palma de Mallorca Airport is the only one of the island, 5 miles east of the capital. Flying from the South of the UK takes a short 2-3 hours. The staff at theairport are efficient, but more laid back than the staff in UK airports - by NO means are they not doing their job, but for example when we travelled to Palma last October we were practically expected to strip naked when we went through security at Birmingham, and in Palma only ...
Advantages: Friendly staff, great entertainment, nice food, good location. Disadvantages: None, really.

As I stated in my review of SantaPonsa, I have been to this area around 10 times and every time I have stayed in the same hotel and have been extremely impressed with the hotel and the service there.
--Location?
The Rey Don Jaime (King James) is located on the Calle Puig Mayor, 100m from the main beach in SantaPonsa. SantaPonsa is located in the South West of the island (read my review to find out more). It is one in a chain of hotels ? ?Marina? - located across the Balearics and Spain.
--Getting there?
If you get a coach transfer from the airport i.e. you are with Thomson or some other package holiday provider it will take about an hour ? it?s the last one on the ?tour? of hotels in that area of the island. If you go under your own steam and book a taxi it will take about 30 mins.

Hotel Miranda is a small quaint hotel. the staff are quite friendly, although not always on hand, the hotel can feel desolate at times.
The swimming pool is lovely, although not heated so can be cold. The hotel has a nice bar, although quite expensive.
Morning buffet breakfast is served with nice simple food which can be eaten on the beautiful terrace.
The rooms are quite basic, but hold all the necessary amenities (eg shower, double bed etc. However, at night it can get quite noisy, especially with children staying in the hotel, and with the locals outside.
The hotel is situated near to the santaponsa's tourist and beach area, with all the amenities nearby. However, the hotel is located in what appears to be an alley road, so the smell of rubbish/bins can become quite bad when the whether is hot.
