Advantages: Beautiful surrounding, nice shops, good food at reasonable prices Disadvantages: Not really in the league of some of the museums, too many people exhibiting themselves
The Plaza Mayor is one of the most beautiful squares in the city of Madrid. It is surrounded by buildings, which are mostly around three or four stories high. On the ground floor of most of these buildings, there are restaurants and shops. The restaurants sell good food at fairly reasonable prices. The Plaza Mayor bustles with life and vigour; many people can be found exhibiting themselves, having sprayed themselves with silver paint and other such ... ...nearest metro station to the Plaza Mayor is Sol. Personally, I believe that the Plaza Mayor is a fantastic place to visit over lunch one day, where you can sit and enjoy the surroundings on the 'terrazas' in the square. However, if you are short for time and skip seeing it, I don't think that the Plaza Mayor is something that you will go home wishing you had of seen. ...

Advantages: history culture that's it Disadvantages: Boring for kids the people the weather bad location - middle of no where
...Living in Salamanca for five months enabled me to live surrounded by the imposing cathedrals and architecture. The city is no doubt beautiful - the university where I studied has an amazing history - Christopher Colombus was there with his plans for what became America. The plazamayor is breath - taking and is a must. However Salamanca is not all history and architecture, it has its downsides which led me to leave. The people are not so used to foreigners as in other areas of Spain and do not have a warm and welcoming attitude towards us. Do not expect everyone to speak English, they won't. The weather is very rarely good, not the place to go if you are seeking a tan. To sum it up, perhaps worth a day trip no more....

...ok i am going to give a more detail view of Madrid.
First of all Madrid is the greenest city in Europe , people don´t know that but is true you´ll find historical parks like Retiro, Campo del moro, fuente del berro,el capricho parque del oeste and on the other hand you have new parks like Juan Carlos I close to the airport and huge parks like casa del campo.
A good itinerary to see part of the old Madrid starts at the royal palace, is a towering structure that has already 250 years of history and it is considered one of the best in Europe.
Then should take calle mayor and you´ll find at your right La plaza de la villa, It's surrounded by 15th to 17th-century aristocratic mansions that have been taken over by the Town Hall.
At this point if you want you can get lost on the narrow streets or if you prefer stay on calle mayor and you...

Booking a hotel in New York can be a somewhat bewildering experience - there is far too much choice! This can be a burden -your choice of hotel can make or break a holiday and with such a wonderful city as New York, it becomes even more important.

Well im back onto the hotel reviews again after a recent visit to Ottawa in Canada. After freezing my buttocks off and nestling into my scarf grabbing my bags and rushing into the hotel I had little chance to look at the exterior of the hotel!
