international airports and central business districts of North Mumbai. Park Plaza offers superior 5 Star facilities and services to suit the needs of a variety of business and corporate travellers.
Advantages: Near Orchard Road shops, transport. Excellent rooms and service, free minibar Disadvantages: High Internet charges
...with a bath/shower also.
Being in the process of travelling at the time I wanted to use the internet. There was free internet in the room provided you had your own computer. If not, then they had a business centre in the hotel where you could use the internet but this was very expensive at about £5 per hour.
It was an excellent base from which to see Singapore located just 100 yards from Orchard Road with all the shops and the same distance from the metro station from where you could travel to any part of Singapore including the airport.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here....

...- A definite MUST despite the fact the Singapore slings are expensive. It’s what the ‘Singapore legend’ has been built upon (5)
Ø Bugis Street - Good for cheap goods and fake watches etc but need to watch it. Not a very pleasant area for girls alone. Need to watch personal belongings. (3)
Ø Day Trip to Malaysia - (Malacca) - A very long day with a lot of travelling time. Very good lunch at a hotel in Malacca then a visit to old Malacca town. Interesting but a little over rated. Probably better doing a shorter trip. (3)
Ø Zoological
Gardens - Consists of park and jungle with over 2,000 animals. The highlight is breakfast or tea with the Orang Utans, which is absolutely fantastic. Can spend a good morning there or even a day. (5)
Eating Out
Ø Eat out at Boat Quay – very pleasant with a large selection of cuisine and varying prices...

Advantages: Unrivalled location, great facities, wonderful breakfasts Disadvantages: View of the freeway from some of the rooms
...Of all the hotels I have stayed in in Sing, this is definitely my favourite. It's all the flash, marbled, gilted, chanderliered swankiness you can desire, with great facilities, service and efficiency, as only Singapore can do.
The rooms are well appointed and very clean, with your typical Holiday Inn double beds and choice of pillow firmness, TV, trouser press, tea and coffee etc., and also internet connections, bathrobes, disposable slippers and safes. The large marble bathrooms come complete with a phone for those calls that just can't wait.
One of my favourite features in this hotel is the roof pool. These are common in most Singaporehotels, but this one is a huge, overflowing marble affair, with foliage around the walls, the odd gecko, and is beautifully lit for night swimming, when the temperature is perfect. There is a large...

I have stayed in a few Singapore hotels, and generally the standard is extremely good, so I was surprised to be so disappointed with The Miramar. I chose it because I was on a stopover and got a cheap deal. As I have seen the sights of Sing before,... more
