UP, UP AND AWAY INTO THE BLUE YONDER
Advantages: The Experience. Views. Accessibility. Facilities. Disadvantages: Crowded. Queues. Commercial. Environmentally Dubious.
KASPROWY WIERCH - WHERE ON EARTH ARE WE? Unless you happen to be Polish, from the Tatra region of Slovakia, or have holidayed in the mountain resort of Zakopane, there is no earthly reason why you would be expected to have heard of this particular location. Yes, in case you are still guessing, I am reviewing a mountain here, Poland’s most popular ski mountain at that! In order get your bearings, let me explain that Mount Kasprowy Wierch is located ... ...want to see the sites. Kasprowy Wierch will appear in all the tourist guides, assuming that, having read them and indeed this review, you wish to visit, then how do you find it? Zakopane is not a big town; it is quite possible to see everything you need to there on foot. Sign posting is very good and you will also find the locals helpful, most speak surprisingly good English too – they have after all made a living out of tourism since Victorian times. ...

Not a Dry Eye in the House
Advantages: Stunning scenery, fantastic surrounding walks and enchanting towns. Disadvantages: Crowded lakeside, expensive transport.
...poetic name given to the Lake is a fitting one, as the whole region seems to slumber in a faintly fairytale-atmosphere. The nearest town, Zakopane, is lined with gingerbread-houses and smoking fireplaces, while the surrounding forests, dark and silent, are almost certainly full of wolves, woodsmen and wicked witches up to no good. Reclusive as these are, though, you may well not see them on the path to Morskie Oko, one of the most popular attractions ... ...The established road to the lake ends in a clearing on the edge of the bowl in which Morskie Oko sits - the horses stop here, and everyone walks the last mile or so along a secondary track. For those who don't relish the prospect of a six-mile climb to the lake, the horse-and-carts leave from just past the car-park and will leave when full. The journey takes around an hour going up, half an hour or so coming back down, and the prices reflect this ...

Limited Facilities, Nice Enough Airport
Advantages: good location for northern Poland, quiet, small, Disadvantages: very limited shopping and catering
Gdansk Airport (officially named Lech Walesa Airport) is located in the village/suburb of Rebiechowo within about a half hour's minutes drive from most areas of Tri-City (many outlying suburbs will be closer, though).
Public transport links are good to Gdansk itself, but much worse to Gdynia or Sopot. Licences taxis are widely available and would normally cost something in the region of 60PLN plus, but this vastly varies depending on where you actually ... ...(to Scandinavia and Germany) for years now, but has became much more busy in the recent years (and in particularly with an advent of cheap flights in the form of Ryanair and Wizzair)
In addition to several daily commuter-type flights to Warsaw, decent connections to Germany (including Frankfurt, Bremen, Hamburg and Munich, but strangely not Berlin) it has now connections to Rome, Alicante, Turku, and London, Birmingham, Doncaster, Liverpool and ...

RESTAURANTS, PUBS, NIGHTCLUBS
Advantages: good choice of restaurants, nice pubs where you can try Polish beer and just chill Disadvantages: pubs start getting crowded quite early
...one from my childhood memories, Piotrkowska Street is now not the kind of place it used to be. Once very smart and posh, it now became a place for everyone. Is that good? Yes, it definately is. It's still very beautiful and you may still find lots of elements expressing Polish culture in there (e.g. bronze sculptures standing right in the middle of the street!!!). All the way long, the pavement is covered with stars on which you may find famous people's ... ...Street). And most of all, Piotrkowska Street is a Polish kingdom of pubs, night clubs and restaurants. Good advise: if you're hungry and feel like eating something Polish, visit Polish Restaurant (quite expensive but very nice). And if You're starving and don't want to spend too much (around £10 for a couple of huge, tasty meals) visit Sphinx. There should be 3 of them on Piotrkowska Street. How to get to Piotrkowska Street? It's easy. Piotrkowska ...
