Advantages:
A beautiful place for relaxing, great views, great food and cheap drinks ! The people in Polis are very pleasant and helpful; they treat you like family once you get to know them .
Disadvantages:
Not a lot of nightclub's for those who want to go clubbing . You need to hire a car to travel to most areas as buses are never on time .
Whenever you get the chances… go to Cyprus for a holiday. I just finish university a few friends and I needed to get away for a few days and I had found a cheap package holiday for Cyprus. I didn't know what I was in for, but it was the best place to free my mind. And the best holiday i had.
Polis is for people who want a peaceful holiday; it's an ideal location for those who want a quite and relaxing holiday.
I was staying near Polis and the area had many great places to eat out and they feed you well for your money! The food is so healthy that you can pig out as much as you like. And am not joking when i say that.
There are really nice pubs and bars in Polis that are open till late, but not many clubs. There was one club but after asking we found out it wasn't the best club to go into. If you want to go to clubs the best place I think is Ayia Napa and they have some great beaches too.
For beaches if you find Ayia Napa hard to travel to go to Latchi which is near Polis. Latchi has a beautiful beach with nearby pubs, bar and restaurants with the sea view, and loads of water sports to do these.
One great Bar in Polis is 'Coasters Corner'; the people in that bar are amazing there so lovely. After having a great time with them until 4am in the morning the owner dropped us to the hotel so that we would be safe (not that we were drunk, the people are just so lovely). But you would always be safe in Polis threes always people around any time, not just that everybody is so friendly. Not just in Polis you can go anywere in Cyprus and it safe anytime.
Shopping! The shop's open a bit late in the summer as its so hot but they are open till late, I saw shop's open till 3.00am. There's loads of tourist shops and super market's. I did think the shop's was a bit expensive, but you need to look around for the best price as most of all the tourist shops sell the same items.
Go to Cyprus you would find it so safe, the environment is so friendly who are so welcoming. The weather is wonderfully; it's a great holiday destination.
Go to www.olympicholidays.com and they tell you so more about the history and loads of useful tips. And they have great holiday deals to Cyprus, that's were I got mine from and I had no complains. Enjoy the live there!

It does sound lovely and it looks like you had a great time there, what more could one want, than peaceful, beautiful, relaxing - and it sounds like there are some genuine folks out there too.
The review is a little disjointed and somehow, I didn't get a strong visual feel - perhaps because this was a bit hard to read. However, well done, you have given your own impressions and sentiments, and that's what counts.

Advantages: Beuatiful Scenery, Very friendly People, Cheap Living (Alcohol, Food, Cigarettes - if applicable), Packed full of activities (especially for trekkers and the adventerous holiday-er), If look hard (-and in unusual places, will find good cheap accomodation) Disadvantages: Not much to do in terms of clublife (unless travel to the nearest biggest city of Paphos), Can be very hot during summer months (although not as much as Dubai for example)
