Advantages: Quiet, friendly, everything you could want in one resort, great pool Disadvantages: Outside of Pollenca so difficult to go out in the evenings
...), there is a frequent (every 15 minutes) bus service into nearby Puerto Pollenca (a lovely fairly low key, family orientated resort), and Puerto Alcudia (a more lively resort with a fantastic white sandy beach, waterpar and bars and clubs). You can also easily get the bus to Alcudia old town which is traditional and charming, and really quite beautiful).
We stayed in the 3* Maris accommodation (4* Village also available), the only difference between the two being the rooms in the Maris are slightly smaller, you can use all the facilities available to 'Village residents' if you stay in the Maris.
We arrived late at night at the resort and were met with a great welcome and taken to our rooms in a golf buggy!
All in all, the PollentiaClubresort is a great place for a holiday whether you are a couple or a family, with plenty to do for everyone....

Advantages: weather (most of the time), beach, good atmosphere Disadvantages: weather (occasionally), nothing significant if you stay in the right place
...place Formentor Beach, busy in summer but just live with it, I've only ever seen 2 better beaches in the Mediterranean and they were on an obscure Greek island. The Algarve also has great beaches though.
Theres also a big overhanging viewpoint nearby, it scared my mum to death just looking at it.
The other side of Puerto Pollenca is Alcudia, similar, but more built up, and really nothing special at all.
There is a hitch in Mallorca, because if you want to go somewhere really Spanish, you just have to visit a Spanish town inland. But why would you want to? The tourist resorts are better anyway. Spain's a hole, its just got nice weather. OPINION...WE'RE ALL ENTITLED TO OUR OWN.

Advantages: Quite alot to do. Disadvantages: If you stay in Pollenca there is nothing to do.
...I got back from Mallorca about two weeks ago, and its in my opinion not bad. I stayed in a villa with my family in Pollenca. Pollenca is not a very good place a tall and if your looking for some entertainment at night i would choose Pollenca. The place to go is either Porte de Alcudia, Alcudia or porte de Pollenca. This is if you stay around the Pollenca part of the island and not the other side where places of entertainment are in Magaloffe. But with there being Go-karting and water parks it isnt that bad. In my opinon staying in a hotel would be more exciteing. 4/5....
