Pontianak, where I lived for 8 years. Places that have a lot of memories for me.
This place has so much warmth. Those who are friends, so many trees and also the tourist attractions that can be visited.

Here are some of the sights that can be visited:

1. PONTIANAK Zoos

Fraser Street is located in Pontianak Adisucipto, currently has more than 50 collections of animals, among others, owl, sea eagle, pecuk snake, stork, cassowary, cockatoo and tekukur. In addition there are orangutans, various types of Primate, civet cat, porcupine, bear, crocodile and others.

Animals-animals are from community donations and the seizure of the animals kept in the community without government permission. In addition, there are also contributions from the animal care and Sub Center Natural Resources Conservation (KSDA) obtained from the original habitat.

2. KADARIYAH Palace

Palace of the Kingdom of Pontianak is located in Kampung Bugis In Pontianak Timur. In the building can be found defections kingdoms throne like chairs, clothes, a thousand broken mirror, keris, tables, jade, shell, and so forth. Pontianak palace-sized 30 x 50 meters, the largest palace in West Kalimantan. Purchase made of wood and built by the founder of Pontianak city, Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman in 1771, the building is old enough this magnificent coated yellow symbolizes the greatness of the kingdom of Melayu. Dealing with the building there is a palace Jami masjid built almost simultaneously.

3. MASJID JAMI'

The first masjid built in the city of Pontianak is located right in the Kapuas river, opposite the palace Kadariyah. Built by the founder of Pontianak city, Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman in the year 1771.

There is a belief, if you are exposed to the curse of someone, take it immediately to the masjid, and the curse will be lost.

Other stories, in the masjid there is a pole which is very large. If you can embrace the pole itself, your whises would be came true immediately.
Believe it or not, it's up to you all.

4. MUARA KAKAP

Kakap River Village is 15 minutes from the city of Pontianak. Kakap River estuary area was developed as a recreation area with fishing tours, seafood restaurants and agro fruit garden.

5. MUSEUM NEGERI PONTIANAK

Museum Negeri Pontianak is located on Jalan Ahmad Yani Pontianak, has a collection of various cultural and historical berniali West Kalimantan, various handicrafts such as statues, old crock, forms of traditional buildings and so forth.

Some outdoor collection:

- Rubber Press Tools
- Miniature of Dango
- Miniature of Langkau
- Miniature of dispersed
- Miniature of Rumah Lanting
- Miniature of Sandung and Langun
- Miniature of furnace Ceramics
- Replica of marked stone

6. Funeral PONTIANAK KINGS

Complex kingdom Pontianak family cemetery is located in Batu Layang, Pontianak Utara. Unique in the Kapuas river there are large rocks that may not be found on the downstream side Kapuas other.

There is a story, the stones are appear suddenly. That is why, the region is called BATU LAYANG means that the flying stone.

7. TUGU KHATULISTIWA
