combines a unique experience as an international premier business and leisure resort providing the ideal setting for meeting or conferences as well as being the preferred resort for total relaxation. Our rooms and chalets are located at 3 mains locations, the 6 storey tower block, the garden chalets and the Water Chalets. The tower block and the garden chalets are located on the shore (land), whereas the water chalets are located on stilts on the sea. The Beach Rooms, the Beach Studio 1 Floor, the Beach Studio Duplex and the Riau Suites are located in the tower block. The Garden Chalets are located on land on its own. The Standard Water Chalets, the Premium Water Chalet, the Water Villa 1 Bedroom and the Water Villa 2 Bedrooms are located on stilts on the sea. All chalets come with a fixed-to-the-wall pangkin bed (day bed) or bunk which is convertible to an additional bed. There are seven finger piers which reach out into the sea. These fingers house the water chalets with windows that open out to the sea beneath you and the sky above. Each outlet and facility in the resort reflects a unique personality all of its own, each with a character and a story from the diary of 'Lord Jennings Avery' - an adventurer (during the Columbus Era) who discovered Avillion during one of his many exploits. It is an array of charm, unlike any other resort in the region, an experience not to be missed. All rooms are equipped with Air-conditioning units, Coffee/Tea making facilities, Private Toilet, Shower and Bath (selected rooms only), ?Pangkin? (day bed), Lounge area (selected rooms only), Writing desk and chair, Astro Channels (selected channels only), Room safe, Radio, Telephone, Hair dryer, Daily newspaper, Ironing & ironing board are available upon request.

Port Dickson in Negri Sembilan,Malaysia or PD as it is affectionately
known to the locals- is the first choice of many people in the Klang Valley and particularly the city of Kuala Lumpur, when it comes to
having a short relaxing stint by the seaside. Named after a British surveyor in
Colonial times, this ever popular resort is is located only about 60 kms south of Kuala Lumpur,Port Dickson, certainly makes a super quick getaway for those seeking
... ...worth making the jouney to Port Dickson if you want to
sample a well developed Malaysian seaside resort but havent the time
to go to Penang or the beaches on the East Coast. You wont find the same quality of beaches as on the East Coast but PD is so convenient to get to.
There are around 18 km of beaches in Port Dickson and they provide
opportunities for the visitor to just laze about in the sun, picnic, go
boardsailing,windsurfing,waterskiing ...

Advantages: Good choice of hotels, not far from KL. Disadvantages: Beaches could be better.
We wanted a place in the sun for a few days to chill out after the heat in KL and PD was the obvious choice and I was not disappointed. I know there is not alot to see in PD but all I wanted was the sand and sea without having to go too far. An hour journey by car took us to our weekend getaway. This was Avillion Hotel, a 5 star hotel on the 3rd mile. Don't be put off by the 5 star as you can often find some discount on the rooms booked over the ... ...avoid weekends and school holidays which is mainly November/ December in Malaysia.
I must say now and again it is sheer luxury to be pampered in such exotic surroundings. The girls at reception swept us off our feet with their welcome and our water chalet was furnished tastefully in the Malay style. Best was my slumber as I felt like being lifted by the gentle rippling of the waves beneath me. Taking a shower with the sky above and the waves below ...

Advantages: Value for money, great eatouts Disadvantages: Not many shopping centres around
...Been close to Malaysia is a plus point. I used to live in Singapore and hop over to Malaysia for a weekend breakaway from the overcrowded space in Singapore.
Food in Malaysia is superb. Especically seafood, crabs, big prawns at local restaurants at very cheap price for the whole family. Sometimes the restaurants are near the seaside where you enjoy the breeze and enjoy your seafood meals. I've been to Johor Bahru, Malacca, Kuala Lumpur, PortDickson and Sabah (east Malaysia). The most enjoyable is Malacca where you can experience the Portuguese culture (Malacca used to be a Portuguese colony). My favourite dish is the spicy and hot sambal chilli Kang Kong (a vegetable). It is so hot that I (usually a chilli eater) had to gulp down several glasses of cold water to prevent my tongue from burning. This dish is one...

.... But the food at the airport is expensive. I would not recommend you to buy the food there, unless you are really hungry.

You can go to Malaysia using Malaysian Airline. For me, the service is very good and very comfortable compared to KLM. The journey takes about 12 hours and there are everyday flights from Heathrow or Manchester to Kuala Lumpur. And you will reach the KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) that is quite far from the city (2 hours to go to Kuala Lumpur by car if the traffic is good).
But you can take the KLIA Express Train to Kuala Lumpur by just 28 minutes. And when you reach KL by that train, you will arrive at the KL Sentral that is the port of all the railway system in KL that is Monorail, Putra LRT (Tube), Star LRT (Light Rail Train...
