There is a stark contrast to the Presidential Palace and the surrounding poverty experienced by many of the local people. The Hills surrounding the capital are lush green and a trip into the hills with the local taxi driver (who you will not be able to rid yourself of for your whole stay)reveals a truly untouched country and echoes the real caribbean of many centuries ago.

Club Med invited me to see their newest Club Med. This was a familiarization trip, (FAM), and my flights and the week I was at the Club was free.
When I went to Club Med we flew on Air Canada from Montreal to PortauPrince, (the Capital City of Haiti), and then drove for about an hour to reach the Club, (that was on the Caribbean Sea).
