Advantages: (+)Fresh food, great taste, well priced Disadvantages: (-)none
...I visited Porters English Restaurant in June 2006. I had planned a day out for my boyfriend and I for our anniversary and I had booked Porters for no particular reason other than it was an option available for a theater deal. As I'm quite fussy with food I decided this one out of the options would probably have been the safest option for me! We had booked the whole thing over the Internet and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Our booking confirmation came through and we had a table reserved for 13:00 hours Saturday lunchtime. On arrival we showed our confirmation email print out, and indeed we had a table booked for two at 13:00, (we arrived slightly before as we didn't want to be late for the show!) and were seated straight away to our table for two. It couldn't have been any simpler!

Advantages: Lots Of Open Spaces, Easily Accesible Disadvantages: Can Get Busy At Times
...The Porter Valley lies to the Southwest of Sheffield City Centre and includes several Parks and Public Woodlands, including Endcliffe Park and Ecclesall Woods. The Valley follows the course of the River, called the Porter Brook, which has its source high in the moorlands of the Peak District. The Water Power that these Dams once provided via a set of Water Wheels was instrumental in the development of this Valley during the Industrial Revolution. This Water Power was used for a variety of different industries on the Porter, but in particular for Corn Milling (at Mayfield), Iron Forging (at Forge Mill),and Wire Drawing...

Advantages: Good view and good open days Disadvantages: Not well advertised!
...The Dover Western Heights is one of the positive places on Dover. It is currently under restoration with fund raising days which double up as open days where you get to see reenactments of Wars and fights. It is also a very nice place to walk around as you can admire the wonderful view of Dover and its ports. The open days are not very well advertised so it is advised that you look online rather than asking people for details. Restoration has already began with stairs being refitted and also buildings being made safe to go in. All of this is put together by nice willing teams of everyday people ranging from prison officers to doctors! THere also is a nature wwalk around the site so it can be very relaxing. It really is a nice day out for all the family!...
