the IrishSea. This luxurious hotel combines modern elegance with the grandeur of a 19th century home once owned by members of the Jameson Whiskey dynasty. The house, featuring wood panelled walls and marble fireplaces, has been tastefully transformed into a magnificent hotel with the addition of a new wing and an extensive refurbishment of the existing building. The surrounding land has been moulded into a superb links golf course designed by Bernhard Langer. Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links is already widely acknowledged as one of Ireland's leading golfing and spa hotels.

...already read my opinion about Portmarnock Golf Club, one of the oldest and most respected links golf courses here in Dublin, with a history stretching back to 1894.
The Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links is a relatively new course that is on the same stretch of sandy dune land as its more illustrious neighbour, and which opened for play in 1995, just over a 100years after the original ‘old course’.

...I spent the last 12 months working in Co.Dublin and probably had the best year of my life. I'm only 20 and it was the first time I have been away from home for this length of time and was made to feel like part of very big family straight away. I was working in the PortmarnockHotel and Golflinks which is in between the city centre and the airport and is a fantastic location for a golf weekend or a short trip to Dublin.
With airlines such as Ryanair offering cheaper and cheaper air fares from a number of U.K. airports Dublin and Ireland seems to be the place to go for a short break.
I would strongly recommend not only the PortmarnockHotel(see my op, for further details) but Dublin in general. There are a wide range of things to do in Dublin and i'm sure there is something for everyone, whether in be a stag party with the lads (Temple...

..., as you feel like you are literally walking on air, and ‘bouncing’ around the golf course.
Don’t simply take my word for it.
Joe Carr, the famous Irish amateur golfer, says Corballis is, “A little gem, well worth a visit”.
And Philip Walton, the Irish professional and ex-Ryder Cup golfer describes it as having the truest and most consistent greens in the country!
When the Irish Open was played for many years at nearby Portmarnock and Royal Dublin, many of the famous European Tour professionals used Corballis to acclimatise to playing on a links surface. (they mostly play inland golf courses on the Tour) And Bernhard Langer, the world famous German/European golfer, played here often when he was working on the design of the new PortmarnockHotel and GolfLinks during the late 1980’s.
And if you’re...
