Porto Myconos, Mykonos

Advantages: luxurious, inside town centre, myconian/aegean views, excelent service, friendly stuff
Disadvantages: lots of rooms on the back with no views and too much traffic noise

...Although I've never stayed as a customer in Belvedere, I can easily give a review for this hotel as it's been lots of times that i visited friends who were staying there (and spent a couple of nights as a guest until I found a room for myself). As you can see from my other reviews, for the past 14 years, i 've spent most of my holidays on mykonos island, I sometimes visit the island more than twice a year, so i think i can have a clear opinion about the most of its well known bussinesses. Hotel Belvedere is a very well known bussiness in Mykonos. Most of the times you can meet celebrities staying there, as it offers stylish luxury and it is situated inside the town centre, in a small walking distance from the high standard bars clubs and restaurants. Advantages: close to city center, unique panoramic aegean sunset views,swimming pool, parking, very clean, great hospitality, excellent value
Disadvantages: breakfast is rather poor

...For the past 14 years, i spend the biggest part of my summer holidays in Myconos. Here, i have to say that Myconos is a very expensive island, and as in any touristic place, it is very easy to become a victim of profiteers. Also, as a greek myself i feel very ashamed of seeing people making elicit profit from tourism. However, after a 3 year "hunting" for a hotel that would satisfy my needs without having to pay a fortune , i spent some days in Tagoo. Since then, I have become a regular customer, and tagoo became to me sth like a summer house. The prices are extremely good comparing the average ones in Mykonos and Tagoo has lots of advantages that extinguish it from the rest. A Tagoo double room costs exactly the same as a well maintained but very simple double one in the crowded center of the town, with no views or any swimming pool... Read review

...I stayed in the k hotels a in the summer of 1993. Since then lots of things may have changed on the island, but the standard of k hotels remains the same. As a regular visitor of Myconos island, I think I can give an opinion to first time visitors that could prove helpful. K-hotels are a hotel complex of high reputation in Mykonos. As an additional information I'd like to explain that the name (k-hotels) comes from the initial of the individual units' names: kohyli, which means sea shell, koralli=coral, kyma=wave Kalypso=The one of the ancient nine Muses. The hotel complex is built on the south of the town, about 1 km from the city center, which makes them rather inconvenient if you like mykonian crowded nightlife but do not have a car or byke.
