Portobello Road And Market, London

Portobello Market is one of my favourite markets in London. It takes place every Friday and Saturday, whereby the Friday market is a lot smaller. This is also why I prefer to go on fridays if I have the chance. It's less crowded and still offers a wide range of goods. The Saturday gets extremely crowded. Portobello market stretches along Portobello Road and offers Antiques in the first section, fruits and vegetables in the second section, and second-hand clothing, young designers, jewelry and other used bits and pieces in the end section. I love markets, but I had never been to Portobello Market until my girlfriend got some train tickets for us to go up to London for my Christmas present. I had to find someplace to go and remembering the Clinton’s recent visit, I was prompted to satisfy my curiosity. I have to say I am not particularly fascinated by antiques and nor did I want to spend any money. Portobello road market, get off the tube at notting hill gate station and follow the crowds on any saturday and you will be taken to the street market that is magical, fascinating, noisy and entertaning.
