...Apartments. Somewhere at the top of the hill is an English nightclub, but I never did find it. The waters are nice and clear though, so you can't really complain. The little cafe closest to the beach also does the best chicken and the best ice-cream.
There are several places of solitude you can flock to although they all end up on a cliff edge, one of the nicer places is the cliffs opposite La Luna. at the back of the facing hotel.
This is a place where you can make of your holiday what you will. You could end up here on an 18-30s holiday but you could just as easily take the kids. PortoColom offers something for everyone, although for the younger generation, you may want to get use to the taxis simply because Cala D'Or and Callas De Mallorca are within a 10 minute drive and are more populated areas.

Advantages: Cheap, Varied menu, Kids menu, Romantic views over-looking the harbour, Open til late, Central - not more than 5 mins from anywhere, Great dessert menu, It's at the bottom of a hill so if you're staying nearer the beach you can walk off those calories Disadvantages: No Wheel Chair Access, Opens later than everywhere else so you have to wait longer for your dinner, above a grottier restaurant
...Whether you have taken a romantic break with the spouse, dragged the kids of to the village for a little solitude, or taken the plunge and taken up diving in the quiet little village of PortoColom, you'll find something to water your palate.
The restaurant is set on a wonderful site overlooking the harbour. On a busy night it can hold up to 100 covers per sitting although in these situations it can become rather cramp in the establishment. owever the nightime view is well worth suffering for. Take the opportunity to sit on the terrace and watch the local go by as they venture in and out of the village plaza, as the boats roll in and out of port, and the sun slowly starts to set.
The menu is varied and can cater for many a taste whether it's a taste of England you yearn for or a Spanish palate you want to acquire. Perhaps some...

...Searching through pages and pages of websites for a nice, inexpensive place to stay was getting very draining until one place caught my eye. The Portonovo apartments in Puerto Rico.
Four friends and I stayed at these apartments for a week in May this year and had a fantastic time.
We got one bedroom apartments with two people sharing one and three in another.
Two bedroom apartments are also available.
The hotel offers a courtesy room for your bags, a currency exchange and a telephone.
In the apartments were a twin room and a sofa bed in the lounge area.
The bedroom was a good size with a large wardrobe, dressing table with mirror (which we were all fighting over), and bedside cabinets with lamps. There was a large window which was good for lighting and ventilation and a safety deposit box in the wardrobe.
