I was very excited to go to this Pousada as we had planned this for a long time as there is so much in the surrounding area to see.
On arrival we found parking to be a problem and almost none existent. We had to park down the road and carry our own luggage to reception.
At reception, although friendly, we had to wait a while to be attended to.
The rooms were clean and although small, were adequate. The bathrooms have been modernized, however grouting and tiling not done very well. Beds comfortable.
Breakfast was included and a large variety of breads, cheeses etc available. However, the service was appalling. It was self service however one had to request certain items such as coffee etc from the waiters. Again, trying to attract the attention of the waiters took time. When we were served coffee it was like dishwater ...
Advantages: Too many to list in this small space Disadvantages: Up hill which many not suit all, but worth the small climb!!

Luz is a great resort but not too busy. Most restraunts are on the front.
There is also a small supermarket for all your daily needs.
All in all a great place to stay - I really was sad to leave but I am sure I will be back.
We are returning to Luz this year and will definately go to the hotel for breakfast ar the fantastic BBQ night. (Staying with relatives this time otherwise we would definately be back in this hotel).
