More Prince Charles than King Charles...
Advantages: Grand, atmospheric bedrooms and posh bathrooms Disadvantages: Disappointing breakfast, lack of facilities, distance from town centre.
...to a choice between the King Charles and a very modern plate-glass-and-red-Perspex type edifice that was only built in 2007. We decided to go with the King Charles as I thought it looked a little bit grand and Gothic and atmospheric and was more in-keeping with the 'feel' of Prague. I'm not one for all mod-cons. It was listed a four-star hotel but it was on offer so we paid only about £25 each per night. When we received our confirmation email, the ... ...the airport for a one-way fee of around £24. After research concluded that airport taxis are extortionate; and we'd have to get the metro and two trams if we took public transport; and we'd be arriving in at about 9pm, we decided to take them up on their offer. I sent an email with only two days to spare and received a response straight back to say no problem, there'll be a man in arrivals with your name on a card. And there was. Although it was ...

Lord take me to Heaven. Take me to the Mandarin Oriental Prague.
Advantages: Luxury hotel. Brilliant food. Excellent service. Great location. Value for Money! Disadvantages: Having to go home!
...your needs. I called the hotel directly and lone behold there was a perfect deal for us. They arranged for us to pay for the first two nights and they would award us the third night complementary. This was inclusive of breakfast. They would also provide us with 100 Euro of credit to use within the hotel restaurant or bar should we wish. So for £300 I was getting three nights of five star luxury. I was sold. The final thing to arrange was the transfer ... ...into the courtyard of the hotel to a brilliant sight. The hotel was formerly a monastery and they have done an excellent job of retaining the original character of the property. From the outside it oozed sophistication and I was extremely excited to finally be here. The hotel is situated in the Mala Strana area of the city and is more peaceful than the New Town side of the river. Once we had taken in the view of the hotel it was time to check in. ...

A beautiful hotel with an excellent breakfast!
Advantages: A good location, reasonably priced and a decent breakfast. Disadvantages: I can't think of any disadvantages to this hotel!
I visited Prague for the first time in June 2009 and I did some good research into finding a nice hotel for my holiday there. I wanted a hotel in a good location that wasn't too expensive and provided breakfast. The K+K Hotels immediately struck me, and there are actually 2 K+K hotels in Prague, the K+K Fenix and the K+K Central, the latter being the one I ended up choosing as my hotel due to the better reviews on Tripadvisor. About K+K Hotels ... ...by brothers Josef and Helmut Koller and the hotel group is entirely family owned. The K+K Hotels are all stylish with an and of a high quality and they have hotels in many European cities including London, Paris, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, Budapest, Prague and Bucharest. Booking I didn't book directly with the hotel, but through Expedia.co.uk, the hotel does do some great deals and these were reflected through Expedia anyway. The deal we had ...

Meteor Plaza, one of their best!
Advantages: Location, rooms & staff Disadvantages: none
...Prague and checked on the Best Western site to see what delights and bargains they had to offer.
For those of you that read my reviews you will notice that we tend to use B.W a lot and there is good reason for doing so. Firstly they are all different, some quirky, some modern, big and small and secondly I can book them all through central reservations, I can easily change hotels, nights and add rooms etc, nothing seems too much trouble.
Where ... ...what a good choice it turned out to be. At the time of booking they had a two for three night offer bringing the price for 3 nights B&B in total £150.00, bargain! Location
It is situated outside the famous Powder Gate which was one of 13 entrances to Prague's Old Town and was originally known as the New Tower until its name was changed to the Powder Gate in the 17th century when it was used to store gunpowder. The location could have not been ...

Corinthia Towers 5* Hotel in Prague
Advantages: Good location, great pool Disadvantages: Expensive in the hotel, no tea making facilities in room
...We stayed in the 5* Corinthia Towers Hotel in Prague last year and although we had a lovely time, I do have mixed feelings on the place.
My husband and I needed to book a hotel in Prague as we were going there for a wedding. We scoured the internet for deals on hotels and after hours and hours and looking at endless deals and reading reviews we decided to book one of Lastminute.com's "Top Secret Hotels". Now I am always wary of booking somewhere ... ...So we stayed at the Corinthia Towers Hotel for 5 nights for the cost of £281 and like I said saved around £100 instead of booking it directly through Lastminute.com. This got us a standard double room with breakfast on the 17th floor.
So how do lastminute.com describe the hotel?
A luxury hotel with such a great location has never been more affordable before. To make your stay more pleasurable a free unlimited entry to the gym, health club and ...
