Meteor Plaza, one of their best!

Advantages: Location, rooms & staff
Disadvantages: none

...Prague and checked on the Best Western site to see what delights and bargains they had to offer. For those of you that read my reviews you will notice that we tend to use B.W a lot and there is good reason for doing so. Firstly they are all different, some quirky, some modern, big and small and secondly I can book them all through central reservations, I can easily change hotels, nights and add rooms etc, nothing seems too much trouble. Where ...
...what a good choice it turned out to be. At the time of booking they had a two for three night offer bringing the price for 3 nights B&B in total £150.00, bargain! Location It is situated outside the famous Powder Gate which was one of 13 entrances to Prague's Old Town and was originally known as the New Tower until its name was changed to the Powder Gate in the 17th century when it was used to store gunpowder. The location could have not been ...

Exactly what you need when in Praha

Advantages: Excellent Metro Links, Great location
Disadvantages: Not Cheap and there are 'Makeshift' double beds.

This is a four star hotel in the centre of prague. The hotel is on Wenceslas Square in the new side of prague. The Old town is minutes away. The staff are friendly, the breakfast is good, the rooms are clean and spacious. They are luxury but they aren't designed for spending a whole day in, rather as a base for roaming the city. Prague is a beautiful city and I'm sure there are better hotels there but if you ended up here, you wont be disappointed. ...
...a problem that spans a lot of european countries: They don't have double beds but rather two single beds pushed together which I personally find frustrating. Also the area around Wenceslas square can become rather hostile in the darker hours of the night and it sometimes requires a very swift walk to get back to the hotel. However, having said that, you feel instantly safe as soon as you walk into the hotel. Also the hotel isn't much to look at and ...

Great stay at this hotel in Prague

Advantages: Low price paid per night, decent basic breakfast
Disadvantages: No tea and coffee facilities inside the room.

Hotel Apollon Prague Introduction Having stayed in Prague many times before I decided upon staying at this hotel as it was slightly outside the town centre area of Prague and it did have easy access to the town centre by using trams. Getting there From Dejvicka we got the green line metro to Mustek, wencezlas square, then outside Debenhams from Wencezlas square I took the number nine tram which took about 15 minutes on the tram. Paying ...
...using a credit card using www.booking.com. I paid a total of £20 a night which was excellent value for money, though I was slightly annoyed as my credit card was charged straightaway for the booking. I was also charged 50 czech koruna which is about £2 for breaking the card key to the room. Though all in all I was happy with the low price of £20 a night. The accomodation It was a nicely decorated hotel with standard black and white tones throughout ...

More Prince Charles than King Charles...

Advantages: Grand, atmospheric bedrooms and posh bathrooms
Disadvantages: Disappointing breakfast, lack of facilities, distance from town centre.

...to a choice between the King Charles and a very modern plate-glass-and-red-Perspex type edifice that was only built in 2007. We decided to go with the King Charles as I thought it looked a little bit grand and Gothic and atmospheric and was more in-keeping with the 'feel' of Prague. I'm not one for all mod-cons. It was listed a four-star hotel but it was on offer so we paid only about £25 each per night. When we received our confirmation email, the ...
...the airport for a one-way fee of around £24. After research concluded that airport taxis are extortionate; and we'd have to get the metro and two trams if we took public transport; and we'd be arriving in at about 9pm, we decided to take them up on their offer. I sent an email with only two days to spare and received a response straight back to say no problem, there'll be a man in arrivals with your name on a card. And there was. Although it was ...

Lord take me to Heaven. Take me to the Mandarin Oriental Prague.

Advantages: Luxury hotel. Brilliant food. Excellent service. Great location. Value for Money!
Disadvantages: Having to go home!

...your needs. I called the hotel directly and lone behold there was a perfect deal for us. They arranged for us to pay for the first two nights and they would award us the third night complementary. This was inclusive of breakfast. They would also provide us with 100 Euro of credit to use within the hotel restaurant or bar should we wish. So for £300 I was getting three nights of five star luxury. I was sold. The final thing to arrange was the transfer ...
...into the courtyard of the hotel to a brilliant sight. The hotel was formerly a monastery and they have done an excellent job of retaining the original character of the property. From the outside it oozed sophistication and I was extremely excited to finally be here. The hotel is situated in the Mala Strana area of the city and is more peaceful than the New Town side of the river. Once we had taken in the view of the hotel it was time to check in. ...
