The hotel itself is well appointed and the rooms we saw were clean and spacious. There was a substantial choice of breakfast options available all of good quality. This is also one of the best locations in the city being only a few minutes stroll from most attractions and amenities. Our Booking was for a suite with a double bed however when we arrived we were shown to a room with 3 single beds in it. When I politely complained I was told by 2 members ...
...that I had not in fact booked a double. Luckily I had kept the original booking form with me and could prove my reservation. At that point a double room mysteriously became available although it was of inferior quality to the room we were originally allocated, being smaller and lacking air conditioning. We spent New Year in Prague 2007-2008 and what a wonderful city. The Ambassador hotel was good in some ways and not in others. Our room was very generous and like a suite although we did not book one.It was in good condition ,comfortable and cleaned very well with all modern fittings in the ensuite. We only ate dinner on 1 night in the hotelas it was all Czech food and the breakfasts were average .Being on Wenceslas square there was plenty of ...

We booked the NEW YEARS PARTY at The Ambassador which was a mistake as it was expensive and not worth the money by any stretch of the imagination. ...while we settled on the K&K Central (not to be confused with the K&K Fenix which isn't as well located) We booked with the hotel direct (via the web) and took advantage of their 3 nights for the price of 2 which worked out to be approximately 240 euro (bed and breakfast). A few days before arriving (our trip was Feb 2008) I e-mail the hotel to confirm the booking, requested a room on an upper floor (just to escaoe any road noise) and also mentioned ...
