Club Architektu - hidden gem.
Review of Architektu, Prague by randhawa

Advantages: Very cheap, large portions of Czech food. Great atmosphere.
Disadvantages: As it is difficult to find, you may not find it at all.

Club Architektu is one of those places you have to be really looking hard to find. Its in a small courtyard on Betlemske namesti. It is in a cellar underneath an art gallery. We tried looking for it and couldn’t find it and ended up in a pub. We were freezing and needed warming up! We had one drink and left. Right next to the pub was Club Architektu! How come we didn’t notice it before……??? Before I go on, do not go to the pub next to Club Architektu. ...
...full of old locals, who seem to know you are a tourist and keep staring at you. Also we think the bar man knew we were tourists and over-priced our drinks! We went down the stairs and asked for a table for 2. We went on a Tuesday, and even then it had a few people there but not too many so it was cramped. But I imagine it may get busy at the weekend and reservations should be made. The place it self is really nice. The low lighting and quite atmosphere ... Read review

Best Restaurant in Prague?
Review of Circle Line Brasserie, Prague by oakwell

Advantages: Beautiful Food
Disadvantages: Quite Formal. expensive for Prague

...had the advantage of visiting Circle Line on a business conference and had the resturant recommended by Czech hosts. The card says 'best restaurant in Prague' and I'm not going to argue. Elegant and formal inside, it's on the castle side of the river on Malostanske Namesti 12 (tel 575300 21-3) so may be quite hard to find (take a taxi). Prices are high for Prague - budget on around £25 to £30 per head - but it's amongst the top 3 restaurants I have ... Read review

Hard Rock Cafe
Review of Internetcafes by vurt

Advantages: In a pub
Disadvantages: slow speeds

The Hard Rock Cafe, located just at the bottom end of the Old Town Square has a small Internet cafe section at the rear. I'm not actually sure it is an official Hard Rock Cafe as it seems a bit Prague-standard rough but I assume it just hard for Hard Rock to sue them. The Internet Cafe is situated at the rear. Just ask the bar maid and she will wave you through. Once in there there are about 6 PCs which have just a browser installed. Access times ... Read review

Czeching Out Dark Lagers
Review of U Fleku, Prague by fuche_bu

Advantages: historic place with great beer
Disadvantages: only one beer

...That brings me to Pivovar U Fleku. This is one of the most famous watering holes in Prague. This brewpub was founded in 1499. The British beer writer Michael Jackson (as opposed to the American singer of ill repute) cites this as the oldest brewpub in the world. A brewpub, by definition is an establishment that brews its own beers on the premises. It is located at 11 Kremencova. Interestingly, this area is regarded by natives as the "new town". It ...
...judged by its cover. U Fleku is a must visit for the beer connoisseur. Inside there are several beer halls of varying decor. There is a beer garden and even a cabaret that requires reservations. They have a little gift shop as well for those who may wish to purchase a souvenir mug or t-shirt. They only serve one beer. It is a dark lager. It is loosely similar to the Munich dark lager style. It has a spicy maltiness in the flavor. The big head holds ... Read review

Fine Dining.
Review of Kampa Park Restaurant, Prague by helencbradshaw

Advantages: Location, Ambience, Quality of Food, variety, Service
Disadvantages: none

The Kampa Park, part of the Kampa group of restaurants in Prague is one of the premier fine dining restaurant experiences in this fine city. The restaurant is situated in the lesser quarter, on the bank of the river and within a couple of minutes walk from the magnificent Charles Bridge. We hadn’t planned our visit in advance, in fact we had set out a little aimlessly, trying to find somewhere to eat – sometimes too much choice is harder than too ...
...be visiting Kampa Park for sure! http://www.kampagroup.com/en/ (there are six individual restaurants in the group, see website for information) I apologise for the quality of pictures – I only had my 1.3 megapixel camera phone with me - hopefully I captured something of the location! ...
