You will find one of Newcastle's best bars located at the far west end of the bustling Quayside. The decor all red, black and ever so minimalist. Cocktails and waitress uniforms are russian themed. There are 3 bars located over 3 floors, a reasonable DJ, some comfy sofa seating, purse friendly prices *and* a very long happy hour makes for a good night. For a cheaper alternative to the usual, try one of their Piggin' Products drinks (basically their own brand of alcopops) Even the door staff are courteous (which is saying something in Newcastle) The only drawback is its location. The Quayside does not lend itself to bar hopping very well - and Pravda being on the Quayside's fringe, for a long time this watering hole went largely unoticed by the pub going throngs usually found toward the centre of the Quayside A great bar which has since caught the attention of the Quayside masses and each visit proves it is getting more popular. A great place to start the night, or even stay all night. Definitely worth a trip. Oh and they also have disabled access ramp into the ground floor bar area although I'm not too sure how a wheelchair user will make it to the loos.
