Premier Travel Inn Derby - North West, Derby

I have booked rooms for my parents here on 5 seperate occasions in the last few years, and have reccomended them to members of my wedding party who were attending my ceremony locally, so I know of plenty of satisfied customers with this particular establishment.

The Travel Inn itself is located to the rear of a rather quaint Public House (The Mundy Arms) on one of the main arteriel routes between the Peak District, Derby, Nottingham, ...
...you are surrounded by open fields and STILL only 3 and a bit miles from Derby itself.

There is ample car parking space, as the pub itself is never really busy. Each room has an allocated parking space outside the window and all rooms are on the ground floor as the complex runs around 2 sides of the pub car park (with the 3rd side being a field and the 4th side being the pub/road).

The Travel Inn itself is located to the rear of a rather quaint Public House (The Mundy Arms) on one of the main arteriel routes between the Peak District, Derby, Nottingham, Lincolnshire (The A52). Despite this, you can't really tell as you are surrounded by open fields and STILL only 3 and a bit miles from Derby itself.

There is ample car parking space, as the pub itself is never really busy. Each room has an allocated parking space outside the window and all rooms are on the ground floor as the complex runs around 2 sides of the pub car park (with the 3rd side being a field and the 4th side being the pub/road).
One of the rooms is specifically disabled access (with ramp and wider doors) but it is the furthest away from reception.

The staff themselves are very approachable and man the reception 24 hours a day. Nothing is too much trouble for them. One of Travel Inn's policies is a garunteed good nights sleep, something that wasn't obtained on one occasion - but with a call to reception not solving it (it was because of the pub and its external fixtures) a letter explaining a disturbed nights sleep resulted in a refund for that night affected. You can't fault that.

The rooms are well kept, and look barely used. There is a television in each and the beds are huge be they single or joined as a double.

Breakfast is available from reception (continental) and there is also the option of the pub, and a local macdonalds (3 minute drive towards Derby) in the morning. The A38/M1 roads are also within easy reach of this establishment for those stopping over but not wanting to be situated at services.

As you might expect, the room rate is as competative as those around it (Travelodge 15 minutes away for the same rate, local hotels are slightly more expensive) but the location of this Travel Inn is second to none. You will actually feel like you have been "away from it" even if its only for one night.

I like to always think objectively about places, and try to think of possible disadvantages, however small. But you will struggle to find many.
